CONSENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE

I consent to attend and participate in FIRST Canada STEMathon – Girls and Allies in FIRST 2024 Event (the "Event "). I understand that participants will be required to login virtually for the event and event will be recorded. 

The Event will be presented by FIRST Robotics Canada on May 25th and May 26th, 2024.

1. I understand that there is no fee or other cost charged for participation in the Event. In consideration for allowing me to participate in the Event, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is acknowledged, I hereby fully discharge and forever release FIRST Robotics Canada., its divisions, subsidiaries, affiliated and related companies, partners and associates, direct or indirect, advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their respective agents, partners, employees, representatives, shareholders, officers, directors, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releases"), of and from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages , actions or causes of action whatsoever, whether known or unknown, whether at law or in equity which I or my heirs, executors, administrators, successors or assigns may now or hereafter have against any of the Releases in connection with the Event notwithstanding that such claim, demand, loss, damage , action or cause of action may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence or gross negligence of any of the Releases. 
2. I further hereby irrevocably grant to FIRST Robotics Canada all rights of every kind, whether now known or becoming known, in and to all motion picture or still photographs made by or on behalf of FIRST Robotics Canada of my likeness, voice, poses, acts, appearances or the sound recordings of my voice, including, without limitation, the right to present and exploit or license others to present or exploit these photographs and sound recordings throughout the universe forever by any now known or later discovered means including in adaptations for radio, television or electronic transmission, and the use of any photographs and sound recordings and of my name for advertising, promotion or commercial purposes of any kind without the payment of additional compensation. “
3. The foregoing permission is given for the benefit ofFIRST Robotics Canada and for the benefit of their respective successors, assigns and any persons, firms, or corporations through which FIRST Robotics Canada shall have the right to use, present or exploit photographs, recordings, or names. I understand that Event staff reserve the right to dismiss or restrict me from participating in the Event if my conduct or behaviour threatens my safety or the safety of other participants is disruptive or is otherwise inappropriate as determined by Event staff.
