Information about FIRST Robotics Canada Grants
Please note that funding is given on a first-come-first-served basis at the discretion of FIRST Canada's granting committee.
There are a maximum of two competitive grants given to competitive teams
If your application is approved you are only eligible to receive either a competitive grant or a Class Pack grant
Prior to filling out a grant application please have ready for upload to the form your 'Proof of Equipment Purchased'

Grant Criteria
Team Grant Criteria
- This grant cannot be combined with the LEGO® Foundation or Class Pack, grants
- To be eligible, teams must be a part of a school, recognized company or community group such as a home school group, library etc.
- Grants are to be used for the creation of up to FIVE new single FIRST LEGO® League Explore teams per school/organization. If your organization runs less than 5 single FLL Explore teams you may apply for more funding until you reach 5 teams after that no additional grants will be approved
- Teams must commit to the program for a minimum of one year and participate in an official Ontario Festival.
Class Pack Grant Criteria
- To be eligible, teams must be a part of a school, recognized company or community group such as a home school group, library etc.
- Teams must commit to the program from a minimum of one year and participate in an official Ontario Festival
- This grant cannot be combined with the LEGO® Foundation

- Click here for instructions on creating a user profile and Class Pack account and purchasing a FIRST LEGO League Explore Class Pack. Please await notification from FIRST Headquarters that your payment has been processed.
- Order enough LEGO® Education Spike Essentials: to meet your desired student-to-robot ratio (recommend 6 LEGO® Education Spike Essentials: kits for a class of 24) from
- Please retain the proof of payment for the Class Pack and robotics equipment, as these will be required to complete the grant application.
