Build it Challenge 2021
About the #FIRSTCANADABUILDIT CHALLENGE CONTEST
Showcase your creativity and innovation and put your building skills to the test by participating in the #FIRSTCanadaBuildIt Challenge for a chance to win prizes and to have your submissions displayed on the FIRST Canada website! Each week starting on April 5, 2021, FIRST Canada will release 5 new building challenges that can be completed using LEGO, Minecraft, Studio 2.0 by BrickLink (click here for FREE download) or materials found around the home. After you finish building your project based on the daily theme, take a picture or short video and click the “enter here” button and have your parent or legal guardian fill out the form and upload a picture/video of your creation for a chance to win.
Anyone can participate, but only youth ages 6 – 14 or 15 plus will be eligible for prizes, and you can participate in as many of the challenges as you like throughout the week. All submissions must be received by Saturday at 12:00 p.m. of the week that the challenges are released.
- Five(5) prizes per week during the Contest Period (April 5th to May 1st, 2021) for entrants aged 6 – 14 years;
- Five (5) prizes per week during the Contest Period (April 5th to May 1st, 2021) for entrants aged 15+ years.
No purchase is necessary. The #FIRSTCanadaBuildIt Challenge contest(The “Contest” is void, prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
The contest begins on APRIL 5th, 2021, AT 8 AM Eastern Time and ends on MAY 1, 2021, AT 12 PM Eastern Time. Open to Canada’s legal residents, who are at least 6 years of age at the time of entry. In the case of individuals between the age of 13 and the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, such individual’s parent or legal guardian must consent to these rules and their child’s entry in the contest. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received before the contest closes. Limit one entry per day—full rules and entry details available here.
While only 10 prize winners will be selected each week, everyone who participates will receive a certificate depending on the number of challenges they complete:
- Platinum: 20+ challenges completed
- Gold: 15 – 19 challenges completed
- Silver: 10 – 14 challenges completed
- Bronze: 5 – 9 challenges completed
- Participation: 1 – 4 challenges completed
