TD Grant Opportunity 2018

TD is thrilled to offer six (6) $2,500 grants to support teams in Ontario who are making a demonstrable effort to encourage STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in their communities.

FIRST Robotics Canada (FRC) Ontario teams can apply for the grants from TD by submitting a video that highlights how your team is encouraging STEM engagement and participating in outreach to at least one of the communities below:

1) Girls in STEM
2) Indigenous Peoples
3) Underserved Populations (vulnerable communities)

A committee comprised of TD representatives will be in charge of selecting the grant recipients based on how well the video content meets the criteria outlined below. Six (6) teams will be chosen to receive the grants.

Eligibility:
Entrants must be a registered FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team in Ontario at the time of submission.

Criteria:
1. Video length is a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes
2. Video content must incorporate at least one of the communities listed above
3. Video submission rules must be followed (as outlined below)
4. A one-page outline about your team must be sent as an attachment, along with your video submission link to kim.cooper@firstroboticscanada.org. Please be sure to answer how your team would use the grant (for written portion only).
5. Judges will base their decisions on content (your story), creativity (how you tell the story), and the outcome – the ability of the team to demonstrate how they’ve made an impact in their communities.
6. Please incorporate as many of your team members as possible into the video

Remember! No need to be a video pro to enter. It’s your story that counts!
