FIRST events could not happen without a large number of dedicated volunteers. Volunteering at a FIRST event is a great way to find out what FIRST is all about, see competitions from a different perspective, or simply stay involved in FIRST if your team is not competing! FIRST Lego League, FIRST Vex Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition events all need volunteers in areas such as

• Refereeing
• Crowd control
• Announcing
• Master of Ceremonies
• Queueing
• Inspecting

FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge events are one-day events generally held on Saturdays. FIRST Robotics Competition events are 3-day events running from Thursday to Saturday.

For the FIRST Robotics Competition, volunteer registration is done centrally through the Volunteer Information & Matching System (VIMS). When you sign up through VIMS, you will have to specify which events you would like to volunteer at (one or both of the Greater Toronto Regional and the Waterloo Regional).

For the FIRST Tech Challenge, volunteer registration is done by simply contacting us.

For the FIRST Lego League, visit the FLL Canada web site and volunteer at an event near you.
